London gallery to hang works of Middle Eastern, Arab artists

TEHRAN, Oct. 4 (MNA) -- Artwork by 12 Iranian artists will go on display at London’s Waterhouse and Dodd Fine Art Center from October 7 to 23.

A leading international art dealership, the center will host the Exhibition of Contemporary Middle Eastern and Arab Art.

 

Entitled “Routes II”, the exhibit will display a total of 48 works created by 16 artists, twelve of which are from Iran.

 

Parviz Tanavoli, Iman Afsarian, Samira Alikhanzadeh, Reza Derakshani, Mohammad Ehsaii, Shadi Ghadirian, Khosro Hassanzadeh and Farhad Moshiri are among the artists.

 

Artwork by non-Iranian artists Ece Clarke from Turkey, Lalla Essaydi from Morocco, Nja Mahdaoui from Tunis and Youssef Nabil from Egypt will be showcased at the gala.

 

The center covers four specialty areas of the art market: 19/20th century European and American art, Contemporary Western art, and Contemporary Middle Eastern and Arab art.
